Minutes of the meeting of the technical direction


On Saturday, March 22, 2008, was held at the National Institute for Youth and Sports, a meeting of the national technical direction Baseball and Softball extended to managers and representatives of the players clubs.

The agenda focused on the thinking and the development of various training courses and seminars or upgrading Scoreurs, Umpires and Coaches.
 
1- Internships and training seminars

After discussions and thoughts here are some resolutions that have been taken to that effect; these amendments coming somewhat improve the quality of placements to overcome some deficiencies observed in the past.
Greater mobilization and awareness of the players and former players and even the general public for broad participation
Support for a better flow and reliability of information within clubs and the use of new strategies for a wide training new technicians who will overcome a lack of formal technical shrieks
A greater emphasis will be placed on the selection, development, harmonization and the drafting of the different thematic aims and objectives of these seminars, which should now lead to targeted training based on real deficiencies encountered during official meetings.
The establishment of an effective policy of marketing and communication in order to increase the visibility of the activities of Baseball and Softball to the general public and to forge new partnerships and strategic financial saving.
 
2- The Pitching Day

In an effort to relooker this event organised by the national technical direction, enriching proposals were approved under the attentive ear of MM. DJOWOUO Pierre and Achille ALINGA respectively, National Technical Director and Secretary General in the Cameroon Baseball and Softball Federation. These proposals have noted these:
- The note of pitching should integrate the combined talents of motion, speed and accuracy, as well as mastery of different techniques to launch
- The Umpires will be ordered to be impartial and uncompromising in order not to fall into the traps of pitcheurs cheating.
- The pitchers also will be noted on their bad launch (false balls).
Participation will be free and open to the public and will include 36 shots on 3 series with phasing as canvas:
O 1st series: Running on target (12 Shots)
O 2nd round: Starting with catcher (12 Shots)
O 3rd round: Starting with catcher and drummer contained (12 Shots).
 
3- The University Games 2008.

The Baseball has been selected as a new sport that will deliver an exhibition match in facilities at the University of Douala at the University Games 2008.
To this end, student selection will be made by Mr. MVONDO Jean, National Coordinator of Baseball and Softball University in Cameroon. It should be noted that the Programme University Baseball and Softball began in 2006 in two state universities (University of Yaounde I and University of Yaounde II - Soa) and one high school (INJS - The National Institute of Youth and Sports).
