YAOUNDE TIGERS BASEBALL CLUB

Cameroon recognizes those influential in growing baseball within the country

Already four months have elapsed since the beginning of the year 2008, and within the Cameroonian Federation Baseball and Softball there have been dramatic changes thanks to very dynamic personalities. We therefore thought to establish a list of those here who have distinguished themselves through their work:

1 - Ms. Françoise KAMENI, Vice-Chairman of the Senior Softball is the one who appears at the top of this list. Thanks to her and the efforts of its collaborators, this one to have led her delegation to South Africa where our players of the national team pennant were able to participate in their first games in Africa. It is also the source of donations to various teams Baseball and Softball who work in popularizing these sports. All her work is  exhaustive, and we wish her great courage in her work for sport.

2 - Mr Achille ALINGA, Deputy Secretary General within the Cameroonian Federation Baseball and Softball is for some time on all fronts. His dynamism and his ardor of task allows the organization to manage talent with the Secretariat General of our federation. It is noted that his talents as a rallying and end administrator enable him to continue the work of revitalizing, set up by Mr Winslow SONE, President of the federation. We know that the Baseball Softball Cameroonians have a beautiful day ahead of them thanks to men like him.

3 - Mr Steven NAKASHIMA, Coordinator of the National Programme "Little League Cameroon". Set up 3 years ago today as his initiative, this program has allowed a hundred children aged 5 to 13 years to learn Baseball and Softball. In effect, session 2007 - 2008 ended last Sunday and parchments detailing the end of training were issued to children who participated in the program. And although monieur Nakashima leaves Cameroon soon, we're sure that this program still has many years ahead of her because he fully developed it in the capital city. Note that his most cherished wish is that the activities of the little league spread throughout the country in the future.

4 - Mr Pierre DJOWOUO, National Technical Director, after his study tour to the united states, Our CTO is back with assets that allow the "Pitching Day" to take on new dimensions. It is noteworthy that it was under his initiative thst specializations in the fields of Baseball and Softball at the National Institute of Youth and Sports Programme have been introduced as well as sports - Entertainment - Holidays.

5 - Mr Jean MVONDO, National Coordinator of Baseball and Softball University, thanks to its dynamism and its foolproof efforts associated with that of Mr DJOWOUO, Baseball Cameroon will be present at the Campus of the University of Douala from Thursday, March 24, 2008 where they will present the students entered through a training course for three weeks, the magnitude of Baseball university.

6 - Mr MOUTCHEU Romuald, Manager of National Sixers Baseball & Softball Club, is one of the oldest players led to the expansion of Baseball and Softball in Cameroon. We want to welcome these efforts in setting up the league provincial coastline and its support for young scholars to receive in the coming days, in the framework of the 2008 University Games.
